The New Glasgow Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old girl.
Avery Hanshaw of Ottawa, Ontario was last seen on Saturday at 7:30 pm on Chelsea Court in New Glasgow.
Avery Hanshaw is described as a white female, 5 foot 5 inches tall, red shoulder length hair, medium build, 180 pounds, blue eyes, wearing a blue dress with sneakers and gold coloured rim glasses.
There is no information to suggest foul play or that she is in danger, however, family and police want to confirm the whereabouts and a well-being check of Avery Hanshaw.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact New Glasgow Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.

Jason Ehler and Ashley Brown, accused Truro police of not adequately investigating their son’s disappearance.
But the review board concluded Truro police acted reasonably in their initial response to the report of a missing child and in their subsequent investigation.
Nova Scotia’s housing minister says a partnership between a non-profit and the government seeks to bring together renters looking for affordable, month-to-month accommodation with residents who have rooms to rent in their homes.
John Lohr says there are 130-thousand vacant bedrooms across Nova Scotia that could be used on a short-term basis by students, health-care workers, trades-people and others seeking a safe, affordable and comfortable place to live.
He says the provincial government will spend over one-million dollars over two years to expand its partnership with a free, online home-sharing platform called Happipad.
The partnership was launched in the spring to help people displaced by wildfires, and is now available to people across the province.

Five candidates are vying for a seat that’s been held by the Liberals for most of the last 20 years.
The Progressive Conservatives currently hold 31 seats in the legislature, followed by the Liberals with 16 seats, the New Democrats with six and there is one Independent.
