Statistics Canada says more U-S residents drove into Canada in June and July than Canadians making the reverse trip. The agency says that’s the first time the stats have been reversed in nearly two decades, with the exception of the pandemic. The downward trend in U-S visits is being attributed by some to U-S President Donald Trump’s tariffs, immigration crackdown and repeated jabs about the U-S acquiring Canada.
